HVAC TECHNICIAN

About the role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, remove, maintain, and repair air conditioning and heating systems and accessories in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or other specifications.
• Measure and lay out reference points for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning installation.
• Assemble and install refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors using hand and power tools.
• Measure and cut piping and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, as well as desiccant air drying equipment.
• Recharge systems with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate systems, and perform routine maintenance and servicing.
• Perform vacuum tests on refrigerant systems and test for leaks with testing devices.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot controls and wiring for HVAC systems.
• Properly record, handle, and dispose of refrigerant.
• Operate various hand tools, test equipment, and meters as necessary for this work.
• Maintain and clean work area, tools, and test equipment.
• Effectively communicate with other process and maintenance personnel.
• Perform all duties in a safe, competent, and efficient manner.
• Execute all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• EPA 608 Technician Certification (Type 2).
• Degree in HVAC or 3-5 years of HVAC experience.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
