HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect and test HVAC systems and components for any problems.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system longevity.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Record HVAC maintenance and repair work performed and keep a record of the type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field will be a plus.

Additional Information

• Job Title: HVAC Technician
• Work Environment: Mostly indoor and some outdoor work, in all weather conditions. Occasional heavy lifting required.
• Reporting Structure: Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
• Salary: Based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
• Pay Range: $45/hr + DOE
