- Accredited HVAC program or apprenticeship certification (e.g., EPA certification)
- 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician
- Valid driver's license
- Working cellphone
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to test electrical circuits or components for continuity
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures related to safety and installation or maintenance of HVAC equipment
- Ability to interpret scopes of work, plan sets, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ensure the proper installation of components
- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
- Install or repair HVAC systems to improve efficiency
- Install or repair self-contained air source, high-efficiency electric heat pumps, or hybrid ground heat pumps to minimize carbon-based energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions
- Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers
- Install auxiliary components to heating or cooling equipment, such as expansion or discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, or stokers
- Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, etc.
