HVAC Technician

Covenant Woods in Hanover County is seeking a full‑time HVAC Technician to perform maintenance and repair services of facility systems. The role involves carrying out all planned and unplanned HVAC maintenance throughout the retirement community, interacting daily with residents and working as part of a family‑like team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC systems throughout the facility.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using test equipment, powered and hand tools.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on all work performed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical HVAC training and/or apprenticeship certification.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Ability to use HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance tools and equipment.
• General maintenance repair skills a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with others.
• Basic computer skills.
• Two years of experience in general HVAC repair or general maintenance with HVAC certification/training.

Schedule

Full‑time. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
