What your day-to-day will look like
- Assist senior technicians with maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems including air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, and related equipment
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, belt replacements, lubrication, and basic system inspections
- Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues under the guidance of experienced technicians, developing your technical troubleshooting skills
- Support emergency service calls by helping to restore equipment to normal operation and minimize disruption to building occupants
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment conditions using computerized maintenance management systems
- Help ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols and regulations
- Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to expand your knowledge of HVAC systems and building operations
- Lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma
- At least 1 year of experience in commercial HVAC, building maintenance, or related mechanical trade
- Valid driver's license
- Basic understanding of HVAC principles, mechanical systems, and electrical fundamentals
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians and supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an HVAC technical program, trade school certification, or apprenticeship
- Valid EPA Section 608 certification (Type I or Type II minimum) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Basic knowledge of building automation systems or willingness to learn
- OSHA 10 safety certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office, email, and mobile technology for work order management
- Previous customer service experience in a facilities, hospitality, or service-oriented environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

San Jose CA main location and once a week, visit another location in SJ,CA (approx: 20 min commute)
Work Shift
M-F, 7am to 4pm, or to 8am-5pm
