We're seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support a cutting-edge Life Sciences campus in Cambridge, MA. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to work in a complex, mission-critical environment where your expertise directly supports world-class research and innovation. As a key member of CBRE’s Engineering & Technical Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance across office, laboratory, and research spaces. Your work will help maintain the reliability, safety, and compliance standards required in a dynamic Life Sciences setting.
What You'll Do
- Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
What You'll Need
- A High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
- A valid driver's license required.
- EPA Universal Certificate.
- The physical requirements of this role include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
