HVAC Technical Training Specialist I (50987)

About the role

As Technical Training Specialist supporting our Merrychef brand, you will provide technical and operational training to Factory Authorized Service (FAS) Technicians for assigned product lines. You will also support the Company’s Sales and Service Technicians by planning, organizing, and developing training curriculum, materials, and programs, analyzing training needs, evaluating third-party training providers, and managing delivery of internal and external training. This position reports directly to the Director Regional Service and is located in Coppell, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational training and service support for assigned product lines.
• Develop training presentations for all manufactured equipment, including discontinued models as required.
• Coordinate logistics for setting up field training classes.
• Respond to non-routine service assistance requests from Service Techs, agencies, Sales, and customers.
• Maintain accuracy of training materials for current and past production equipment.
• Expand mastery of product line equipment, service issues, and relevant tools.
• Participate in on-call rotation to supply technical support after normal business hours.
• Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers via email, phone, or onsite as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience in technical service, repair, maintenance, or related service support.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• Experience servicing Commercial Foodservice equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit in an office environment for extended periods.

Skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, staff, and internal/external service technicians.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
• Skilled in Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom for online training is preferred.
• Knowledge of company products is preferred.
