HVAC Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspection and basic testing of rental equipment under supervision.
• Assist in preparing applied and portable cooling equipment for customer deployment.
• Condenser coil cleaning and general equipment cleaning.
• Tube maintenance on water-cooled chillers.
• Auxiliary depot organization, housekeeping, and yard management.
• Support inventory tracking and equipment staging.
• Auxiliary loading and unloading equipment as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and company operating procedures.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and checklists.
• Maintain tools and shop equipment in proper working order.
• Communicate equipment concerns or repair needs to supervisor.
• Escalate to a supervisor for non-routine repairs or technical decisions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned depot location.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC rental equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with supervisor oversight.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic troubleshooting ability within established guidelines.
• Team-oriented with a customer-service mindset.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.

Qualifications

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, crouch, and work in tight spaces.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Work in warehouse/depot environments with varying temperatures.
