About the role

This field-based position is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base, including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in a commercial environment, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. The role involves working with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing facility retrofits, directly representing a leading manufacturer with access to technical support and training on the newest technology.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work.
  • Serve as the direct customer contact, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Use cutting-edge software, technology, and hand tools to diagnose and repair units, following blueprints or engineering specifications.
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business requirements demand.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC; technical school or formal training preferred.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld devices (e.g., Smartphone, iPad).
  • Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving) or multiple preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
  • EPA Certification.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $28.96 - $43.85. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. This role is incentive and sales commission ineligible.
