About the role
This position will be issued company vehicles and a gas card upon meeting MVR requirements.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC/R systems (up to 100 tons cooling / 10 million BTUs heating)
- Working on high-end systems including boilers up to 150 HP—no duct tape cowboy jobs here
- Running diagnostics, inspections, and seasonal maintenance to keep our clients running efficiently
- Communicating clearly with customers (no scripts, just real talk and honest recommendations)
- Mentoring up-and-coming techs if you’re into that leadership life
- Staying sharp with code compliance, documentation, and safety protocols (yes, we care about that too)
- Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 4 years of field experience or completed a 4-year HVAC Apprenticeship
- High school diploma or GED (college of hard knocks also accepted)
- Denver journeyman license (F29 or F31) or equivalent
- A clean driving record and the ability to represent MTech with pride
- Self-sufficiency, accountability, and a knack for solving tough technical challenges
- Willingness to rotate on-call duties (we all take a turn)

Physical Requirements
- Be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and 75+ pounds occasionally
- Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 pounds regularly and 75+ pounds occasionally to complete assigned job tasks
- Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
- Be able to reach overhead, including working with tools overhead
- Be able to work a full range of physical activity in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, kneeling and squatting, climbing, walking for extended periods of time
- Use hands and arms to: Thread, cut, weld, braze, solder, and assemble pipe and duct work
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other equipment
- Capable of hearing at a level or correctable to a level where the person is able to receive detailed information through verbal communication. Must be able to detect alarms and equipment sounds
- Vision must also be at a level or correctable level where the person has clarity both in short and long-distance vision
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Handle heavy pipe, fittings, valves, tools, duct, hangers, and equipment
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs regularly
- Work and walking on uneven surfaces, elevated platforms, and confined areas at times
