Key Responsibilities
- Perform equipment start-up and commissioning of newly installed HVAC systems, including verifying proper operation and settings.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize system life and efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment issues such as electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, or airflow imbalances.
- Verify that control systems and safety devices are functioning correctly.
- Work with project managers and installation teams to resolve post-installation issues quickly and effectively.
- Document all service and maintenance work performed, including test results, parts used, and system adjustments.
- Provide clear communication to customers about system performance, recommended improvements, and service needs.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience (installation background a plus).
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and post-installation troubleshooting.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in diverse environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoor conditions).
Pay
The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $28 - $70 USD, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, Johnson Barrow offers a comprehensive benefits package and reimburses business travel expenses in accordance with company policy.
