About the role

Campbell Mechanical Services is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our service team. As a third-generation, family-owned mechanical contractor with more than 100 employees, we provide HVAC and mechanical services to commercial and industrial facilities throughout the region. This is a union position offering steady full-time work, union benefits, overtime opportunities, and access to ongoing trade training.

Responsibilities

  • Keep commercial HVAC systems operating reliably through service, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance work.
  • Diagnose and repair commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and related mechanical systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
  • Identify system problems and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
  • Complete service calls in a safe, professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, job documentation, and equipment records.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, facility personnel, and internal teams.
  • Follow applicable company, safety, and union standards.

Requirements

  • Previous commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently in a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
  • Comfortable working from ladders and at heights.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to continue developing your skills through union training programs.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: HVAC trade school or technical training, along with Journeyman status or the ability to obtain Journeyman status.

Union-scale pay.
