About the role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform a wide variety of repair, installation, and maintenance tasks in both residential and commercial settings. This full-time, permanent position offers potential for growth within our family-owned company. Successful candidates will deliver high-level customer service while working safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Work includes servicing general residential and commercial heat pumps, AC condensers, furnaces, geothermal heating and air conditioning systems, air purification, and ventilation.

Responsibilities

  • Service air conditioning and heating systems in residential and commercial environments in accordance with current codes.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Promote products and services to customers.
  • Produce and maintain organized records and reports.
  • Maintain company vehicle in clean and proper working order with an organized inventory of HVAC repair necessities.
  • Ensure company tools are used safely, maintained properly, and accounted for.
  • Provide and use own tools to perform repair, installation, and maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years’ experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug/alcohol test.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and on-call rotation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with national, state, and local HVAC code regulations.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate from a trade/vocational school HVAC program or other construction-related program preferred.
  • EPA Certification 608 Certification.
  • Physical ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, chases, and other confined work areas.

Pay

$42–$55 per hour, depending on experience.
