HVAC Senior Technician - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Year Round

The HVAC Senior Technician will assist with overseeing the day-to-day operation and job distribution for the HVAC craft within the facilities maintenance team. They will help maintain Dollywood’s park infrastructure, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies. Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors and managers with leading, guiding, and/or training other craftsmen within the trade, ensuring applicable procedures and techniques are followed.
• Develop plans, scope jobs, and obtain materials and resources needed to meet work order production and requests.
• Prepare written reports and material requests.
• Oversee material inventory, maintain organization, and ensure proper stock levels.
• Assist in developing and carrying out daily tasks, assignments, and communication with internal teams and management on work order status and crew-related situations.
• Monitor quality, completion, and accountability for the Facilities Maintenance team.
• Ensure all work conforms to applicable rules, regulations, and codes.
• Assist with tracking the park’s infrastructure and winter work projects.
• Install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/refrigeration systems and major appliances.
• Calculate electrical loads and size systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various types of food service equipment.
• Install duct systems and design/install HVAC systems in new construction buildings and attractions.
• Accomplish equipment or material take-offs from blueprints and schematics.
• Design and install natural gas systems in compliance with all applicable codes.
• Document all repairs and maintain refrigerant usage logs.
• Independently maintain, repair, and replace complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and food service equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Comply with OSHA regulations; federal, state, and local laws; and applicable industry standards.
• Attend technical training courses in specialized HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and food service equipment.
• Gain state certifications and licensing within one year of employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of four years’ craft-level experience with demonstrated servant leadership skills, including motivating, coaching, counseling, and providing positive feedback.
• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Certified HVAC Technician.
• Minimum of eight years of documentable HVAC journeyman-level operation, maintenance, and repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
• Knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, regulations, and park building requirements.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles per company policy; valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle driving record required.

• Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret spreadsheets.
• Able to use hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical blueprints for routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Able to read and understand machine prints with dimensions, tolerances, mechanical assemblies, and associated terminology.
• Must be clean-shaven to properly utilize a respirator.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Lifting and Carrying: Occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs, utilizing company safety guidelines.
• Mobility: Intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 13 hours per shift.
• Repetitive Movements: Performing repetitive tasks involving hands, arms, or other body parts.
• Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat (0 to 110 degrees).
• Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: Strong cognitive skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, and work in confined spaces.
• Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 150 feet.
• Able to endure approved exposure levels to chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants.
