HVAC Senior Field Engineer

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for HVAC motor, VFD, and pump retrofit applications.
• Develop and standardize installation processes for retrofit solutions.
• Train internal teams and contractors on VFD and motor retrofit procedures.
• Aid in preparing bills of materials and analyzing site survey data.
• Support ROI analysis and energy savings calculations for retrofit projects.
• Create technical installation documentation and implementation guidelines.
• Contribute to HVAC motor and drive system design for commercial and industrial applications.
• Analyze technical data including customer proposals, specifications, and manuals.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, installation teams, and customers on project execution.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors to ensure project compliance.
• Provide technical support for RTU, AHU, exhaust systems, and motor drive applications.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and field implementation as needed.
• Travel to project sites to support installations and customer requirements.

Qualifications and Certifications

• 2-5 years of relevant HVAC field experience (minimum baseline).
• Strong hands-on experience with HVAC VFD installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Prior experience working with HVAC motor and drive systems.
• Ability to program and configure VFDs.
• Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems (RTU, AHU, exhaust systems).
• Strong mechanical aptitude in HVAC systems.
• Experience training or supervising subcontractors preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills for technical and customer-facing discussions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
