HVAC Sales Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an established HVAC Sales Engineer to market and sell Carrier Applied and Industrial HVAC products and solutions to current and potential customers within your region.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and market share targets set by management.
• Lead and grow assigned territory and business through existing and new accounts by identifying potential customers and building solid long-term relationships.
• Routinely call on and support customers, including Mechanical Contractors, Consulting Engineering firms, and Facility Owners/Developers (School Districts, Universities, Hospitals, Private Corporations, etc.).
• Follow up and close work with customers by assisting with bid day operations and handling post-sale submittal and order entry work.
• Execute take-offs and quotes.
• Promote Carrier’s line card of products, attend trade shows, and support marketing events and local educational efforts.
• Assist with project management duties once equipment has shipped, including cash collection and accounts receivable responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of HVAC sales experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of HVAC sales experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Experience with Applied HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools.
• LEED AP accreditation (a plus).
• Extraordinary interpersonal skills and customer focus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 and $129,500.00. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
