About the role
This position is responsible for service and preventative maintenance of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment on the OSUIT campus.
Responsibilities
- Evidence of ethical and professional behavior
- Two years minimum of Journeyman level operation, maintenance and repair experience in HVAC/Refrigeration trade
- Maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and Journeyman’s license in HVAC as well as an EPA Refrigerant Handler’s license
- Work independently and multi-task effectively
- Handle multiple work priorities simultaneously and work with minimal supervision
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds, with assistance able to lift, transport, and move equipment and materials weighing several hundred pounds
- Proficient in standard practices of the HVAC/Refrigeration trade, including knowledge of applicable building codes, ordinances and regulations pertaining to HVAC, refrigeration and boilers; operation of air compressors and pneumatic controls; cooling tower and boiler water treatment
- Knowledgeable of health and safety regulations, including proper storage methods of equipment, materials and supplies
- Proficient in the materials, methods and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of welding and soldering techniques
- Communicate effectively with a positive attitude, excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential
Requirements
Education Required: High School diploma or GED. Associate degree preferred.
Qualifications
- Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior
- Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Must possess and maintain a valid Journeyman’s license in HVAC as well as an EPA Refrigerant Handler’s license

Pay
$24.16 - $27.17 hourly
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
