About the role
Under general supervision, performs skilled or semi-skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of District facilities to provide for the maximum health, safety, comfort and benefit of students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled or semi-skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of District facilities
- Performs or assists in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, electrical systems, structural systems, roofing, carpentry, lawn and grounds maintenance, doors and hardware, flooring, siding, foundations, fixtures, and equipment
- Uses, repairs, and maintains tools and equipment
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Communicates and interacts effectively and appropriately with supervisors, students, and staff
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- NM CID Journeyman Refrigeration licensure
- EPA Universal Refrigerant licensure
- Knowledge of Uniform Mechanical Code
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor
- Ability to perform HVAC and refrigeration system installations and all aspects of HVAC service work
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively and appropriately with supervisors, students, and staff
- Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements

Salary
Salary: Twelve months (234 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the Assistant Salary Schedule.
