HVAC/ Refrigeration - Hybrid - Mobile

About The Role

CBRE is hiring a Mobile Commercial HVAC/R Hybrid Technician to support multiple locations in the Newark area. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems. This position is part-time and does not require mandatory on-call or overtime.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC and refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Address equipment failures to determine the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
• Complete and update maintenance and repair records.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
• Serve as a mentor by sharing technical expertise and leading by example.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both colleagues and clients.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience
• 4-5 years of job-related experience
• Valid driver's license required
• EPA/CFC Universal Certification refrigeration systems
• Practical experience with troubleshooting and repairs on self-contained refrigeration systems
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
• Advanced math skills, capable of computing mildly complex figures like percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
