HVAC/R Service Technician
Position Overview
G.E. Mechanical / PDM Group provides service 24/7, 365 days a year, including Holidays. After hours Emergency Service is addressed through our phone system which will put any customer in need of service directly in touch with an on-call Technician. Our work is trusted as we provide worry-free services our customers can always count on. The HVAC/R Service Technician’s responsibility is to provide high-quality heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration services to commercial customers using expertise in HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance services for commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Commercial/industrial customers include restaurant equipment, convenience stores, cold storage facilities, distribution companies, and supermarket refrigeration
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems to including split systems, chillers, packaged units, oil- and gas-fired boilers and control systems
- Food service preparation equipment
- Ability to work with tablet-based service ticket software system for all HVAC/R work performed
- Perform HVAC/R preventative maintenance service for contract customers
- Able to work overtime as needed and be part of a scheduled HVAC/R on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED, 3+ years of HVAC/R Service
- Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, Commercial and residential air conditioning and gas/oil heat service experience, Commercial and/or residential HVAC replacement experience, Food service equipment experience, Understanding of control systems and wiring, EPA certification
