HVAC/R Service Assistant Technician (Remote)

About the role
We have an entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of HVAC/R Service Assistant Technician in the Denver, CO area (Energy Force LLC Division of Budderfly). This position ensures the optimal, efficient operation of Budderfly’s fleet of HVAC units. The role is critical to maintaining the efficiency of advanced energy-saving technologies installed at customer sites, particularly ultra-high-efficiency HVAC units.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC units within your geographic area, including maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks on HVAC/R equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC/R systems.
- Complete commissioning checks of HVAC units to ensure continued, efficient operation, including checking and correcting HVAC RTU controller configurations and mechanical operation.
- Provide physical maintenance to Budderfly HVAC units, such as changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and inspecting units for mechanical failures.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain daily logs and records of all functions in the company work order system.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Assist with customer queries.
Requirements
- HVAC controls experience; familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a benefit.
- New technical school graduate is a plus.
- Ability to recognize control and mechanical issues before they compound.

Pay
$20—$26 USD per hour. Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
All tools and equipment required for daily work will be supplied by Budderfly. A vehicle with maintenance and reimbursement will be provided upon completion of the training period.
