We specialize in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects.
About the role
In this position, you will provide knowledge and consultation of HVAC, piping, and electrical systems. You will work with customers to deliver solutions for repair and retrofit opportunities, including financial and energy-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Estimate, engineer, and sell retrofit, repair, and replacement mechanical projects
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and collaborate with management and the sales team
- Provide HVAC system solutions for customer problems, including financial and performance-based solutions
- Use cold-calling skills to schedule appointments with new customers
- Organize and prioritize workload; identify key customers and develop action plans to grow accounts
- Discover customer needs and current market opportunities; assemble and coordinate the sales team as needed
- Identify potential opportunities with existing and new customers
- Convert leads into opportunities by determining the appropriate sales course of action, assembling the sales team, and leading the sales process
- Develop relationships with multiple buying influences within the customer’s organization, such as facility managers, project managers, or purchasing agents
- Maintain an acceptable rate of new sales
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management, or equivalent, and three to five years of experience in facilities or HVAC services; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping systems for design, estimating, and sales
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical and financial skills
- Enjoyment of business development aspects, including networking and attending industry events
- Strong understanding of and interest in modern technologies
- Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
