About the role
As an HVAC Project Manager at WDF Inc., reporting to the VP of Mechanical Operations, you will manage commercial HVAC projects from start to completion. This includes preparation of estimates and takeoffs, purchasing materials, leasing equipment, and scheduling employees.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients, design professionals, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city, and county officials.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, scope of work outlines, and equipment information to ensure alignment with client needs, industry standards, code requirements, and design intent.
- Review site conditions with field trades to address challenges related to work completion and delivery of equipment and materials on site.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Maintain regular communication with the client's management team and adjust schedule and manpower requirements as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in construction management for commercial HVAC projects.
- Proven experience managing commercial HVAC projects in the $4 million to $40 million range.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents and execute projects based on scope of work requirements, specifications, and schedules.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Good computer skills with strong working knowledge of Word, Adobe, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficient in Navisworks with knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit for BIM coordination and modeling.
- Professional certifications such as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction-related fields or Engineering is preferred; HS Diploma/GED required.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $185,000 - $225,000 depending on experience.
