About the Role
The PM Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on assigned HVAC equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical, and building systems to eliminate system downtime and ensure optimal client relations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and controls on electrical systems
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Work at various heights, including tasks requiring extended periods in elevated environments
- Regularly climb ladders of various sizes and types safely
- Operate a range of lifts, including scissor lifts and boom lifts, to reach higher areas
Requirements
- 1-3 years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial/industrial)
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong understanding of building systems and safety protocols
- Ability to work at heights and operate various lifts
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skill in using hand and power tools
- Must be authorized to work in the US
