Key Responsibilities
- Performing heating, ventilating, cooling, and plumbing design for municipal, commercial or industrial facilities.
- Developing HVAC and Plumbing design skills within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heating, ventilating, cooling, and plumbing design.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or the candidate must have plans to obtain their PE.
- Experience with Revit and other CAD skills is preferred.
- Relevant experience in applying various types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and hydronic piping systems.
- Experience with heating and cooling load calculations, HVAC controls systems, and building/facility management systems.
- Experience with ASME B31.1 Power Piping or ASME B3.9 Building Services Piping designs.
- Experience with International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, and Fire Code.
- Experience with performance of detailed HVAC and hydraulic pressure drop calculations.
- Experience with Plumbing pipe sizing and fixture count analysis.
- Experience with SMANCA Duct Construction Standards and NFPA 820 HVAC designs.
- Experience with hot water boiler and chilled water system design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC systems related to water and wastewater facilities.
- Relevant experience in municipal, industrial or commercial buildings and facilities.
