Role Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities by building relationships with prospective customers, conducting outbound outreach, attending industry and networking events, and developing strategic prospecting plans.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and effectively guide opportunities from initial contact through close.
  • Assess customer needs & provide solutions by meeting with customers on-site to evaluate HVAC systems, identify operational challenges, and understand business objectives and budget requirements. Recommend solutions that address customer needs while aligning with technical requirements and long-term goals.
  • Develop proposals & close opportunities by preparing accurate estimates, proposals, and service agreements that clearly communicate project scope, investment, and expected outcomes. Lead customer presentations, address concerns, and demonstrate the value of Kelso Building Services’ solutions.
  • Partner across teams by collaborating with estimating, operations, project management, and field teams to ensure opportunities are properly evaluated, competitively priced, and positioned for successful execution. Provide customer and market feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Build lasting customer partnerships by serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process by maintaining consistent communication, understanding customer priorities, and creating relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Achieve revenue objectives by developing and executing sales strategies that support company growth initiatives while consistently working toward individual and team revenue goals.
  • Expand industry knowledge by staying informed on HVAC technology advancements, market changes, customer needs, and competitive trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations and strengthen sales performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC sales, commercial services, or another technical sales environment.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, systems, and service operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and achieve measurable results.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for customer meetings and site visits.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with internal teams.
