HVAC Oil Technician

We are Universe Home Services, a proud local business serving homeowners across Nassau and Suffolk counties with expert HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical solutions. Located in Farmingdale. Now Hiring: Full Time Residential HVAC Oil Heating Technician.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in troubleshooting and repair efforts, identifying and diagnosing HVAC issues on oil heating systems for residential clients.
• Handles warranty services efficiently and responds promptly to perform emergency repairs.
• Service and repair Oil burners, Oil furnaces, and boiler heating systems.
• Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC and oil fired heating systems, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment.
• Clean and replace burner components such as oil nozzles.
• Perform routine service, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance for residential clients.
• Recommend the best solutions for the customer's heating needs.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing maintenance plans, service options, and any available financing solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with oil heating systems and related equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to explain technical information to customers.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment.
