HVAC Mechanical Service Apprentice Technician (Union)
About the role
We are seeking an entry-level HVAC systems apprentice with experience in residential, light commercial, and/or HVAC education to join our team. The position involves working with advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work with skilled and experienced Journeyman HVAC Mechanics in various commercial and industrial settings.
- Receive training from mentors, in-person classes, and an online training course.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a good driving record.
Preferred
- One (1) year of work experience in the HVAC industry.
- HVAC education courses.

Pay
The pay rate is $19.50 - $23.52 per hour, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) or rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
Schedule
This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening by JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by the Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position. This is not a guarantee of employment or entering the Union. The Union has its own entry, qualification, and screening programs.
