HVAC Mechanic Tech (Harrah's)

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
• Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications, state codes, and established safety guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs, work in various environments including rooftops, outside work on condensers, hot /damp areas, and cold/dry locations.
• Able to bend, twist, and work on ladders.
• Performs necessary clerical duties with the job and reads blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Provides support services in other fields throughout the Facilities Department.

Qualifications

• Technical/Trade School certification or equivalent combination of education / experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in the field or related area.
• EPA608 License or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Complete knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• General knowledge of electrical distribution systems, plumbing, Life/Safety Systems, boilers, chillers, emergency power systems, UPS systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, and Energy Management Systems.
• Thorough working knowledge of computers.
• Prior Casino/Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
• Excellent logical thinking skills and strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
• Written/verbal communications skills.
