About the role
Maintain, repair, install and operate boilers, refrigeration equipment, generators, air conditioning facilities and all appurtenant equipment driven by steam, air, diesel, gas, water, or any other power-developing energy. This position also patrols, inspects, and maintains all mechanical equipment to the end that the most economical and efficient results may be obtained. This position requires HVAC certification.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC systems
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repairs including but not limited to; chillers, air handling units, controls, package units, split systems, exhaust fans, refrigerators, freezers, hot/chilled water pumps
- Starts unit and adjusts it for proper cut-in and cut-out of refrigeration units, humidifiers, heaters, air cleaners, and circulating pumps
- Adjust systems for optimal performance
- Maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems by checking performance and determining problems
- Installs, maintains, repairs, operates all types centrifugal and reciprocating refrigeration/air-conditioning systems; also all types of pneumatic/electro-mechanical temperature controls, chillers and boilers

- Performs necessary plumbing procedures to ensure operation of systems and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of related experience required
- Experience and/or certification in one or more predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasound, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
- Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to load noises
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at times
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands as necessary
- Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
- Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
Special Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
- Must have EPA certification per CFR part 82f (Universal preferred) for servicing and recovery of refrigerants
