Responsibilities
- Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Maintains the efficiency, reliability, and safety of operation of systems by checking performance, diagnosing problems, and making necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Checks elements such as pressure, temperature, and running time of various mechanisms.
- Repairs or replaces fans, pumps, thermostats, humidistats, motors, compressors, valves, gauges, pneumatic and electric controls, filters, and other related elements.
- Installs refrigeration and air conditioning systems by positioning compressors, motors, condensers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, evaporators, heaters, and other components.
- Installs and connects auxiliary control mechanisms and piping or tubing.
- Connects recording and gauging devices. Charges refrigeration systems and tests installation for leaks.
- Starts unit and adjusts it for proper operation and optimum performance.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ Experience as HVAC Mechanic in light commercial or heavy industrial.
- EPA Universal Certification received from an approved certifying program.
- Valid State Driver's License.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and operating manuals.
- Ability to perform regular and recurring inspections or surveys.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation.

- Understanding of the 40 CFR 82 and adherence to all guidelines and procedures pertaining to the use and handling of refrigerants.
- Collaborative working style with a team.
- Decorum and professionalism when interacting with servicemembers in uniform.
