HVAC Mechanic

About the role

The HVAC Mechanic at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems. They also maintain parts, supplies, and equipment, ensuring compliance with operational and departmental guidelines as well as regulatory and compliance requirements such as OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems
• Maintain parts, supplies, and equipment
• Follow operational and departmental guidelines
• Meet all regulatory and compliance requirements
• Obtain Journeyman's license for Heating Vent and AC within the first year of employment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Trade School Graduate
• Post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics (Preferred)
• Journeyman's license for Heating Vent and AC must be attained by the end of the first year of employment (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type 2 (High-Pressure Appliances) (Required)
• Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type 1 (Small Appliances) (Required)
• Universal Certification (Preferred)
• 3 years of HVAC experience (Required)
