HVAC Mech II
Description of Work
This position is one of several HVAC Mechanics serving in the Maintenance Shop within CFMO’s Facility Management Branch. The employee is responsible for heating, ventilating, and air‑conditioning maintenance tasks in support of Army National Guard facilities in the eastern region of North Carolina, roughly half of the agency’s overall building inventory.
Location
Greensboro/Guilford, North Carolina.
Schedule
Full‑time, 40 hours per week.

Salary Range
$43,267.00 – $75,718.00, based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations.
Minimum Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED and four years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of air‑conditioning chillers, air handling, chilled water distribution and control systems, including at least one year at the journey level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualifications
Current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations part 82, subpart F.
Management Preferences (optional)
- Experience servicing a variety of air‑conditioning unit types.
- Experience servicing, repairing, or troubleshooting circuit problems.
- Experience with electrical system maintenance and repair.
