HVAC Journeyman

About the role

Advance your legacy as an HVAC Journeyman maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, retrofitting, replacing, starting up, and commissioning commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, repair, retrofit, replace, startup, and commission commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues including boards, VFDs, motors, valves, and sensors
• Read drawings, submittals, and manuals; markup minor changes and provide feedback to foreman and operations team
• Execute retrofits and replacements, verifying performance against specifications
• Perform site surveys and job walks to identify parts, labor, materials, and scope for quotes
• Function as a lead technician on dispatches when assigned and coordinate with dispatch on schedule
• Communicate scope and status with customers and close jobs with complete documentation

Requirements

• Journeyman credentials per local requirements
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read drawings and schematics
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurability
• Positive industry representation with customers, manufacturers, sales reps, and technicians

You will work on a wide range of systems, including:

• Air and water-cooled chillers
• Heat pump chillers
• Packaged and split systems
• VRV/VRF systems
• Controls, pumps, and VFDs
