HVAC Journeyman
About the role
Advance your legacy as an HVAC Journeyman in a union role dispatched per local requirements. You will maintain, diagnose, repair, retrofit, replace, start up, and commission commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose, repair, retrofit, replace, start up, and commission commercial and industrial HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues including boards, VFDs, motors, valves, and sensors
- Read drawings, submittals, and manuals; markup minor changes and provide feedback to foreman and operations team
- Execute retrofits and replacements and verify performance against specifications
- Perform site surveys and job walks to identify parts, labor, materials, and scope for quotes
- Function as a lead technician on dispatches when assigned and coordinate with dispatch on schedule
- Communicate scope and status with customers and close jobs with complete documentation
Requirements
- Journeyman credentials per local requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read drawings and schematics
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurability
- Positive industry representation with customers, manufacturers, sales reps, and technicians
