About the role

Responsibilities

• Complete full heat pump system installs from start to finish, including equipment removal and space preparation
• Perform refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and proper charging with care and precision
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to execute installs accurately and troubleshoot confidently
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and maintain a compliant project
• Deliver a standout customer experience by answering questions clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring homeowners are satisfied
• Catch quality issues early and communicate them to ensure corrections are made
• Maintain organized, well-stocked vehicles and warehouse as part of daily routine
• Collaborate with fellow installers and the engineering team to find better ways of doing things and continuously improve processes

Requirements

• Solid hands-on residential HVAC install experience, including working in attics, crawlspaces, and tight or physically demanding environments
• HVACR license (required)
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required or actively in progress)
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics
• Working knowledge of local building codes and how to stay compliant
• Strong refrigerant handling skills — recovery, evacuation, and charging done right
• A sharp eye for quality and a low tolerance for cutting corners
• Clear, professional communication with both customers and teammates
• A problem-solving mindset when installs don't go exactly as planned
• Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work across varied conditions
• Experience with heat pumps or mini-splits is a strong plus — we'll invest in growing that expertise if you're eager to learn
