HVAC Installation Field Supervisor / Trainer

We’re seeking an experienced HVAC professional to join our team as an HVAC Field Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HVAC Installer or Service Technician who is ready to step away from daily production work and move into a leadership and training role. This is not a desk-based management position. You’ll spend significant time in the field working alongside our installation crews, evaluating workmanship, correcting installation issues, and providing the hands-on technical training they need to succeed.
Pay
$65,000–$75,000 per year, plus monthly performance bonus potential

Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on field training and technical coaching to HVAC installation crews
- Demonstrate proper residential HVAC installation procedures and best practices
- Visit active job sites to inspect workmanship, troubleshoot problems, and correct installation deficiencies
- Train installers on airflow, ductwork, refrigerant piping, gas piping, electrical components, system setup, and start-up procedures
- Reinforce company quality, safety, code-compliance, and customer-service standards
- Help installers improve their technical skills, efficiency, and overall job performance
- Identify skill gaps and develop focused coaching plans for individual team members
- Support complicated installations and help crews resolve field-related challenges
- Conduct installation quality inspections and ensure completed work meets company standards
- Partner with branch leadership to track crew performance, callbacks, and installation results
- Help reduce callbacks, improve customer satisfaction, and build a stronger installation team
- Hold team members accountable while providing clear, constructive feedback and support
Qualifications
- Significant hands-on residential HVAC installation or service experience
- Strong knowledge of complete residential HVAC system installations
- Ability to diagnose installation problems and clearly teach others how to correct them
- Thorough understanding of airflow, ductwork, refrigerant piping, gas piping, electrical components, system setup, and start-up procedures
- Working knowledge of applicable HVAC codes, safety requirements, and manufacturer specifications
- Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading HVAC technicians or installers preferred
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to spend the majority of the workday visiting job sites and supporting crews in the field
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
