About the role
Johnson Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing is seeking an HVAC Install Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, upgrading, and retrofitting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential or commercial settings. Duties include interpreting blueprints, ensuring compliance with local codes, performing system tests, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate professionally with customers, peers, and dispatchers
- Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems
- Ensure installations comply with local HVAC codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used
- Operate and maintain HVAC tools and equipment
- Keep up to date with the latest HVAC technology
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Self-motivated, accountable, values high-integrity, and a competitive spirit
- Field experience with EPA certification is a plus
- Great communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and install HVAC equipment
- Comfortable using point of sales systems
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Excellent customer service skills
