Full-time position in the Facilities Management department requiring extensive mastery of HVAC maintenance and repair. May perform other maintenance tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or assisting with projects.

Schedule

  • Full-time, benefits eligible
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • 40 scheduled weekly hours

Pay

Hourly pay range for HVAC Technician III: $31.70 – $48.24, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, inspect, diagnose, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform routine to highly complex maintenance on boilers, chillers, air handlers, control systems, and other HVAC equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision; handle complex technical tasks without outside contractor assistance.
  • Lead individuals or groups on HVAC-related projects and difficult tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Licensure or certification indicating mastery of HVAC systems.
  • Valid driver license may be required.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe work environment following established safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need to see, read labels, monitors, and identify equipment; assess customer needs.
  • Frequent customer interactions requiring clear communication and quick understanding of spoken information, alarms, and needs.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer, phone, and cable use.
  • Lift, transport, pull, and push equipment; full range of movement including bending, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, and climbing.
  • Handle items of varying weights, including heavy equipment.
  • For roles requiring driving: sit, see, and read signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
  • Use of hand and power tools; proper use of hearing and eye protection.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, noisy or constricted spaces, and odors.
