The company also operates hotels, aquarium complexes, the Kemah Boardwalk, and the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintain applicable log books.
- Conduct walk-through inspections; change belts, filters, adjust volume dampers, check gauges, coils, drain lines, bleed gas lines, reset compressors, check unit sensors, relocate ductwork, and troubleshoot to locate sources and causes of malfunctions.
- Assist with estimating parts, supplies, equipment, and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitor computers for malfunctions.
- Maintain quality of air, airflow, and temperature at on- and off-site facilities; adjust valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through the system.
- Record gauge readings, repairs completed, and time lost due to inoperative equipment. Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere making guests want to return, providing each guest with a positive, memorable experience.
- Must be able to read, understand, and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams, and drawings.
- Must maintain a current state HVAC license and possess basic mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of products, materials, equipment, and tools related to the industry.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certificate required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Current state HVAC license/certificate required.
This position does not earn tips.
