Role Overview

You will be part of the facilities maintenance team, supporting Swissport at various London and South East airport facilities. Your primary location will be Heathrow, with occasional travel to other airports.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, repairs, and operations of equipment and services in line with best practices.
  • Ensure third-party contractors adhere to safety and professional standards and follow company or site-specific procedures.
  • Review Risk Assessments/Method Statements for work being performed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Absorb and comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure the facility operates safely and complies with all regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Good all-round maintenance engineer with strong electrical knowledge.
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations.
  • Health and Safety Training including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • GCSE (or ‘O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognized equivalent.
  • Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification.
  • Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.
  • Experienced in Electrical Installation work, electrical testing and inspection.
  • A good understanding of Building Critical and Non-Critical Systems.
  • Knowledge in CAFM PPM Management System (Concept) via handheld PDA.
  • Desirable: C&G Electrical Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition IEE Electrical Regulations.
  • BMS (Building Management System knowledge and understanding).
  • A good basic Mechanical understanding.
  • Understanding of COSHH and handling of substances.
