HVAC Designer, Level IV

Responsibilities

  • Support design efforts for HVAC.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in related discipline (HVAC or Fire Protection) with two or more years of progressive and relevant experience in HVAC and/or Fire Sprinkler System Design.
  • 10-15 years total experience.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of progressive and relevant experience in HVAC Design and 3D Modeling.
  • Technical knowledge of related engineering systems, applications of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computers.
  • Ability to plan, self-perform tasks and multi-task on multiple projects.
  • Ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word and utilize automated workflow systems.
  • Ability to coordinate verification and validation of documents with technical and operations personnel prior to release for approval and implementation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain historical information.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret, maintain, and incorporate requirements of technical drawings and operating documents.

  • On-site at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.
