HVAC Data Center Mechanical Service Apprentice Technician (Union)

About the Role

We are looking for an entry-level HVAC systems apprentice with some experience in residential, light commercial, and/or HVAC education to join our team. You will work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment. We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement opportunities. You will be equipped with tools, a vehicle, top-of-the-line technology, equipment, and uniforms, with a #1 focus on employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Work with skilled and experienced Journeyman HVAC Mechanics in a variety of commercial and industrial equipment settings.
• Receive training via mentors, in-person classes, and an online training course.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of work experience in the HVAC industry.
• Completion of HVAC education courses.

Pay

$19.55 - $23.50 hourly (rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet).

Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI. Acceptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position. Note: This is not a guarantee of employment or entering the Union; the Union has its own entry, qualification, and screening programs.
