About the role

As a LONG BI Controls Electrician Supervisor, you will oversee the supervision, motivation, and training of subordinates while improving the quality of work and effectiveness of the control systems they connect.

Pay

$33.87 - $46.59 per hour, plus potential profit share.

Responsibilities

  • Support the controls electrician manager, project managers, and accounting team in ensuring accurate billing for completed work and verifying adherence to labor and material cost estimates.
  • Participate in bid management and other business opportunities involving significant or unconventional risk.
  • Familiarize yourself with job site completion deadlines and coordinate workforce and material needs with relevant teams, customers, and other trades.
  • Coordinate subcontractor installation work, enforce quality standards, and track progress to meet deadlines.
  • Provide documentation for scheduling, personnel, billing, safety, and job site issues.
  • Ensure the quality, standardization, and timeliness of all Building Intelligence construction and installation activities.
  • Maintain and increase technical knowledge, competencies, and awareness relevant to business unit activities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, regulations, laws, and codes.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner during all business and company social engagements.
  • Resolve customer concerns and disputes related to installations, startup, and commissioning.
  • Identify changes in work and alert project managers to change order opportunities.
  • Provide installation and technical support to installation personnel.
  • Assist in job installations, commissioning, and project management as needed.
  • Enforce and abide by all LONG and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Maintain neatness and cleanliness of worksites, offices, vehicles, tools, and property.
  • Ensure necessary tools and materials are scheduled and delivered to job sites.
  • Assist with performance and salary reviews.
  • Continuously improve LONG processes, quality, employees, and personal performance.
  • Discipline and develop efficient, productive, and enthusiastic personnel through training, supervision, leadership, and motivation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of temperature controls installation experience.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification.
  • Current state electrical license.
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites and customer offices.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, electric, and DDC installations and operations.
  • Ability to recognize safety hazards and rectify problems.
  • Outstanding management, interpersonal, customer relations, leadership, communication (written and oral), budget forecasting, and computer skills.
  • Availability for overtime, varied shift hours, after-hours phone availability, out-of-town work, and additional training outside normal business hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for extended periods, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and working in tight spaces.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
  • Ability to function at heights.

Work Environment

  • Inside and outside work environments.
  • Exposure to general construction site hazards, inclement weather, and high, precarious places.
