About the Role
The HVAC Commercial Technician performs the installation of commercial and industrial heating and cooling equipment, including rooftops, furnaces, central air conditioners, and commercial refrigeration equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining HVAC systems (Hydronic, Steam, Forced Hot Air, and Heat Pumps)
- Reading schematics
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC equipment
- Maintaining a high standard of mechanical installation practices
- Performing preventive maintenance on equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 1–5 years of HVAC experience in service and installation or equivalent vocational training
- Experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC and related equipment
- CFC Certification
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Must pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may require additional background checks (e.g., DMV, criminal history)
- Must adhere to all company policies and procedures

- Demonstrated proficiency in the safe use of tools and equipment
- Experience providing professional, quality customer service

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- May require driving or riding in a vehicle for 2+ hours at a time
- Exposure to varying temperatures and all weather conditions at outdoor job sites
- Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day
- Frequent climbing, reaching above shoulder height, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Occasional lifting of heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
- May work with or around construction materials and chemicals requiring knowledge of safety data sheets
