What You Will Do
- Design and configure building control systems as defined by contract documents.
- Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Develop and test software programs to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate the creation of drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- Select, order, and track delivery of materials for assigned projects.
- Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet project schedules.
- Assist in loading, commissioning, and troubleshooting system and network-level controllers.
- Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and trades.
- Provide field change information for as-built drawings and software updates.
- Keep management and contractors informed of job progress and issues.
- Track project progress using collaborative dashboards and participate in release meetings.
- Coordinate with project owners to determine task responsibilities.
- Provide work directions to Systems Design Assistants and other project resources.
- Adhere to safety standards with a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related technical field with two years of relevant work experience, or equivalent work experience as a commercial HVAC Controls Technician, Engineer, or Installer.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC industry and control theory.
- Experience with building automation systems and other building subsystems from design, installation, or commissioning perspectives.
- Experience with low-voltage building wiring and systems.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge to non-technical audiences.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Willingness to travel to job sites outside the local area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of three years of experience, or an associate degree in a related technical field with five years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent work experience as a commercial HVAC Controls Technician, Engineer, or Installer (with no degree).

Pay
Hiring salary range: $80,000 - $110,000, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity. This role includes a competitive bonus plan based on individual, group, and corporate performance.
