About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Boiler Installer to install, replace, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and commercial boiler systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hydronic heating systems, and a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with contractors, other technicians, and property owners to ensure each installation is completed to the highest standards.
Technical Skills

Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and commission gas, oil, and hydronic boiler systems
- Remove and dispose of existing heating equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping schematics, and installation drawings
- Install piping, pumps, expansion tanks, zone valves, controls, and venting systems
- Perform startup, testing, balancing, and system commissioning
- Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues
- Maintain accurate job documentation and service records; maintain open communication with company dispatch for efficient scheduling
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and local, state, and federal codes and regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and expertise
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Requirements
- 5+ years of boiler installation experience
- Experience installing residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems
- Ability to read plans, blueprints, technical specs, and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of plumbing, gas piping, and heating controls
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in confined spaces, attics, basements, and mechanical rooms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with current regulations and standards
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements for a company vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or degree is preferred
- HVAC or Plumbing apprenticeship considered a plus
- EPA certification is appreciated
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification considered a plus
Physical Demands & Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and push 75+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and construction environments
- Capability to perform manual tasks over extended periods
- Physically capable of working on 30-foot ladders and from elevated surfaces
