HVAC Assembly Technician

Join a team responsible for assembling components or entire commercial HVAC systems in a heavy‑industrial manufacturing facility located in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities

• Assemble quality products according to specific standards
• Work as part of a team to put together large‑scale components
• Handle both raw and finished materials
• Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and material lists
• Operate industrial equipment as needed to move and package finished products
• Work efficiently and be a self‑starter
• Navigate computer‑based software for next steps
• Effectively problem‑solve and apply basic mathematics (measurements, fractions, etc.)
• Adhere to all safety policies
• Keep all materials orderly and work areas clean
• Rotate to different workstations as needed to aid in other assembly steps

Requirements

• Prior manufacturing, construction, or heavy‑industrial experience, or equivalent trade‑school experience
• Prior electrical experience (a plus)
• Prior machine‑operator experience (a plus)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Proficiency with hand or power tools
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8–10 hours and lift up to 50 lb independently
• High School Diploma or GED
• Heavy lifting – 50 to 75 lb continuously
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
• Skilled in using hand/power tools
• Ability to read and understand English
• Ability to perform math involving fractions and measurements

Pay

Pay ranges from $17.00 to $22.50 per hour, depending on shift and position. First shift starts at $17.00/hour; second shift starts at $18.50/hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday with frequent Saturdays.
