HVAC Area Service Manager

Reports to

The Area Service Manager (ASM) reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Technicians
• Supervise and develop the technician workforce
• Affirm technician productivity meets or exceeds goals
• Maintain technician market work level to support technicians
• Handle escalated service issues
• Develop training plan for all assigned Technicians
• Support technical support and quality of work
• Evaluate and perform annual Technician reviews
• Protect company's image and reputation
• Conduct weekly service meetings
• Communicate goals and objectives for assigned area
• Provide recognition to top performers
• Perform inspections of all vans
• Inspect equipment and ensure technicians have proper PPE
• Discuss safety topics weekly
• Oversee new customer requirements
• Review callbacks and additional repairs

Requirements

• At least 10 years as an HVAC Service Technician, management experience preferred
• Technical knowledge necessary to provide value to technicians and customers
• Continuous education in the technical field
• Professional conversation with customers and resolve concerns locally
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Fast-paced environment and deadlines adaptation
• Clean and professional appearance
• Able to lift 100 pounds, maneuver 32-foot ladder weighing approximately 96 pounds, and climb ladders multiple times
• Able to drive extended hours for calls

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HVAC Industry or other service business
