HVAC Apprentice - Install

Position Overview

The Apprentice will assist with the installation of gas heating equipment, hot water heaters, fireplace logs, central air conditioning and heat pump units. Assist with installation of ductwork, fuel lines and electrical upgrades as necessary. Assist with minor adjustment and repair of residential heating and air conditioning equipment. This is a full-time union role with a great benefits package. The hourly pay range will start at $22-$28/hr.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the proper installer of various HVAC equipment.
• Aid in the proper installation of water heaters.
• Safely transport and handle materials.
• Capable of installing and testing fuels lines.
• Aid in install of utility related work.
• Proper completion of all necessary paperwork.

Job Requirements

• Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to use all hand and/or power tools associated with the type of work being performed.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to listen, talk and hear.
• Frequently use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls while executing tasks like working on a computer or talking on the telephone.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus required.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low.
